JIANI (prototype)
A downloadable game
The kingdom of Jiani is failing. A terrible drought plagues the land, and the people are dying. To make matters worse, a nearby empire has begun waging a holy war on the land. What is a goddess to do? Well, summon a hero of course!
Works in Windows and Steam Deck (via Proton).
This is just a short preview. I fully intend to keep working on this, and eventually make it a full game. I hand-drew all the images except the magic circle, which is from Freepik.com. Background music from Pixabay.com.

Install instructions
To run this game on Windows, download and unzip the file, then run JIANI.exe. Note that the resolution dropdown is currently disabled, although fullscreen works.
To run this game on Steam Deck (short ver): Install it as a non-steam game and run with Proton Experimental, mouse-only controller setting.
To run this game on Steam Deck (long ver): switch to desktop mode and download the file. Unzip it. Open Steam. Click "Add Game" in the bottom-left corner. Select "add a non-steam game" and browse to JIANI.exe. Go back to gaming mode. Open your library and scroll to non-steam. Select JIANI.exe, and scroll to the gear icon. Select "properties" and go to "compatibility". Select "Proton Experimental". Back out of the menu and hit "play", then hit the steam button, and select "controller settings". Going to "current buttom layout", select the template "mouse only". Leave the menu and enjoy the game!
